The Cape Town Student

As a student, I have always been made to pay for my own gym fees through the monthly pocket money provided by my parents. Needless to say, my heart never failed to sink when the SMS from Standard Bank (I know, shame) came at the end of every month, informing me that R550 was vacating my account and was on it's swift way to the Virgin Active head quarters in Johannesburg. With my Virgin account permanently in arrears, I came to know the person who manged my account on a fairly personal basis - I think his name was Rasheed, but I had his number saved as 'Virgin Twat' on my phone for a solid year and a half. As an individual who is passionate about the deep house and techno scene, I tend to keep up to date with the up and coming Cape Town events brought to you by organizations such as We Love Summer,  Split Milk and occasionally even the more commercialized trance jolls such as Sun Flower Festival - where to the disappointment  of my trance junky friends, most of my time is spent under the techno tent.
